Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 4
This class is devoted to learning about deer, their behaviors, and more... through discussion, a story, a craft, and a short video. Children will learn some facts about these amazing animals, have some laughs, and be able to express themselves artistically!

Class will begin with introductions and we will then move on to some discussion, including learning different types of deer and the Whitetail Deer’s scientific name and what that name means. Then, we will watch a video and have more discussion. Next, will have reading time and lastly, have fun making a craft.

For class we will be doing a craft that involves a paper plate, scissors, and crayons or markers. I will also be supplying a coloring page for kids to have fun with after the class! As this class is about deer, if children have a stuffed deer or a toy deer, they can bring them to class!

*If a child has taken my Attentiveness class... some of the deer information is repeated, though we do dive deeper... any questions, please ask.

Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
I have taught this class to different groups at a cooperative, for both lower and upper elementary students. I enjoy teaching a subject or principle and including different areas of study along with the original idea. I have trained in a non credited format, for many years, with an author and speaker who specializes in teaching children character.

I am a homeschool mom that has taught American History, Biology, and Life Skills for 3 years in a cooperative setting. I have also tutored 3rd-5th graders in Math, Science, and History through an after school program. Though I have a biology background academically, I enjoy many subjects and having fun!
