This course is for someone who has no prior knowledge or limited exposure to American Sign Language (ASL) and wants to learn some of the basics of sign language.
Imagine this: You are out at the park and you meet an individual who is deaf, wouldn't it be awesome if you could introduce yourself to them and ask their name? With this course, you will learn the letters A to Z in ASL so that you can be ready to sign "My name is ..." and make that person feel included. By the end of this class, you will be able to make each hand movement of the alphabet and show off your name in ASL.  In the second half of the class, you will go head to head with your classmates in a 'sign off' on Kahoot. You will see images of different alphabet signs and you must identify what letter it is! This is a fun way to test what you have learned and for you to take the first step in learning sign language.
