US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
In this ongoing class, I will teach 2 letters a week. Two new letters will be introduced every class. Each class will follow the following format: Every class will begin with the alphabet song. After the alphabet song, I will teach through movement and I will supply pictures for each letter we learn. Together, we will brainstorm words that start with those letters. We will also end the class with a game that helps us remember what letters we studied that day. I will post the chart that the students come up with on the classroom, so they have the option to refer back to it.

I will upload the lists the class comes up with together each week. We will also practice writing our letters so please have pencil and paper.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hello! I am Mrs. Holstine and I teach early childhood classes.
I teach Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies for Elementary aged students. I have taught in a formal classroom for the last five years. Two of those years were spent with first graders and the rest were spent with kindergarten kids.
I believe that kids learn best when they are interested in the subject matter. I like to get to know the students personally before jumping into a lesson. I like to relate the lesson back to their personal lives to keep the student engaged.
