Learn & Write About Reptiles- Cursive Handwriting Practice With an OT
This class is led by an occupational therapist. Learners should have a basic knowledge of cursive. In this ongoing class, we will learn about different reptiles while practicing our cursive. We will focus on legibility and common errors.

Class Experience
Students are expected to possess a fundamental understanding of lowercase and uppercase cursive writing. In this course, we will introduce three interesting facts about a new reptile each week, practice writing by focusing on spacing, line placement, and letter size. The class will use various media such as pictures, videos, slides, class discussions, and the provided worksheet (or notebook paper if wanted), which will be presented through screen share only. No assessments will be given but parents can compare their child’s handwriting to previous samples.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Discussion of what reptiles eat will be discussed. In some cases, more graphic pictures may be shown such as a picture of a snake eating a mouse. We also touch on reproduction but I teach the amount of eggs and when the lay. I am very selective about what pictures are shared and warn students prior to sharing.
Learning Without Tears Digital Tools will be used through screen share. YouTube videos will presented through Google Slides and shared through Screen Share.
