Beginner Level
Let's learn about butterflies and their life cycle! In this class, we will learn fun facts about the transition from an egg all the way to our beautiful butterfly. We will explore the 4 stages of the butterfly life cycle while incorporating reading, writing, math, crafts, experiments, and more! This course is jam packed with a variety activities that are sure to keep your learner engaged and having fun all while learning!

Lesson 1:
All About Eggs!
We will work on the butterfly life cycle focusing on eggs. We will complete letter E writing/tracing tasks and crafts. Learners will also practice sequencing the butterfly life cycle and more.
Unit 2: All About Caterpillars!
Lesson 2:
All About Caterpillars
We will work on the butterfly life cycle focusing on caterpillars. We will complete letter C writing/tracing tasks and crafts. Learners will also practice numbers while creating caterpillars and more.
Unit 3: All About Chrysalis!
Lesson 3:
All About Chrysalis
We will work on the butterfly life cycle focusing on the chrysalis and butterflies. We will complete letter B writing/tracing tasks and crafts. Learners will also complete a science experiment/sensory exploration to create slime and more.
Unit 4: All About Butterflies!
Lesson 4:
All About Butterflies
We will work on the butterfly life cycle focusing on beautiful butterfly wings. We will complete letter W writing/tracing tasks and crafts. Learners will also create beautiful and healthy butterfly themed snack and more.

Parental Guidance
Educator videos are located on Youtube. Direct links to lessons will be provided in the classroom. No personal information or log-ins are required.
Parental guidance and assistance will also be required during cut and paste activities and hands-on crafts.
Supply List
Weekly pintables, writing and coloring utensils, scissors, glue, and craft supplies. To make slime in week 3, we will use liquid starch, glue, and food coloring. To make a healthy butterfly themed snack in week 4, learners will need fruit.

I am a fully licensed special education teacher for grades K-12 who currently holds a Bachelor’s of Arts. I have over 13 years experience teaching children. I have taught preschool in childcare centers as well as elementary schools. For the last 8 years, I have taught in a K-5 special education classroom (adaptive curriculum) in all subject areas. I have been trained in sensory integration, alternate assessments, data collection, and project-based learning.
