US Grade 3 - 6
Students will enjoy making an eye-catching Kaleidocycle folding paper craft while learning basic geometry and artistic principles in this STEAM-inspired class. This class will be taught using Google Slides, video clips, discussion, and hands-on learning. We will cover basic geometry by looking at and exploring 3-dimensional figures, we will also cover design and artistic principles as well as the history of the Kaleidocycle. Students will improve their understanding of geometry and the terms that are used to describe geometric shapes and solids, while also learning more about design and art principles. They will also improve their hand-eye coordination and grow their creative problem-solving skills, and communication skills.
1 file available upon enrollmentThe supplies you will need to prepare before class are: 1. Print the Kaleidocycle Template (ideally on card stock- several copies are recommended since they will want to make many!) 2. Markers or Colored Pencils 3. Scissors 4. Clear Tape 5. Ruler
