Learn the basics of voice over acting in this class. Each week, with provided videos, we will discuss the techniques of effective voice over acting, practice reading voice over scripts, and receiving feedback. *Weekly structure for this flex class: ⫸Monday: Video lessons are posted each Monday at noon EST ⫸Wednesday: We have our weekly discussion about the scripts that were presented and discussed Monday. ⫸Friday: I call this 'Feedback Friday' - students have the opportunity to send recordings (video or audio), of the scripts we studied on Monday and receive feedback on their work Learners will have be able to participate in weekly discussions about the scripts being presented and will have the option to receive feedback on their work on a one-on-one basis or with other learners of our class. Join us to learn the different ways to effectively learn voice over acting. Genres of voice over we will learn are audio books, radio jingles, animated films, video games, commercials, and movie scripts. This class is for any level: from absolute beginner to seasoned actor. If a learner feels more comfortable practicing voice over acting without being present with other learners in class, this flex class option is the best way to go. If learners would like to have their readings heard with other learners, I will be including them in weekly instructional videos. Each week, I will introduce a new voice over script (audio books, radio jingles, animated films, video games, commercials, and movie scripts), and over video - provide different ways to practice the writing and allow students to submit their readings to me for feedback. Students can feel free to submit more than one attempt as they get more comfortable reading the provided scripts.

Master's Degree in Music or Theatre or Arts from Bowling Green State University
Hello and Welcome! My name is Kristen I am a performer, voice over actor, teacher, and videographer. I have the honor of being awarded the Music & Arts: Teacher Of The Year Award.
As a performer, I have traveled the world performing as a lead singer onboard Carnival Cruise Lines. I have worked on seven ships in their fleet and performed several genres of music on stage. I have also worked as an actor in New York City. I have auditioned and traveled around the United States for jobs performing in musicals. My favorite shows are Disney's Mary Poppins (Mary), South Pacific (Nellie), and She Loves Me (Amalia).
As a teacher, I am currently a music teacher at an academy. I have taught and hosted live and virtual classes in music, theatre, auditioning, and public speaking. My goal is to prepare students for their auditions and performances so they are not as nervous and feel confident in themselves.
As a videographer, I run a YouTube channel documenting my travels as a teacher and performer. Working online has taught me about video-story-telling, graphics, editing, and proper lighting.
My upcoming events as an actress:
-Playing Carole King In "Beautiful: The Carole King Musical"
-Cathy in The Last Five Years
-Soloist with the Linked Up Concert Series by Carnegie Hall
