Students will be learning to use the CapCut app as an introduction to the study of video editing. Students will be instructed to download the app to their tablet or iphone before the first class begins. In just one short (25minute) lesson, students will get a crash-course in the app, and learn everything they need to get started right away. Each skill will build on the previous one. Every 5 minutes I will have a review of the skills just learned previously, so by the time the student is done with the course they will be totally familiar with all the basic video editing concepts. I will have my tablet screen shared with the class, so they will be able to watch in real-time as I demonstrate how to use the app. Students will be able to reach out to me through OutSchool if they have questions about the instruction. Video editing is my passion and I very much want all of my students to be as excited as I am about this new medium for expressing their creativity!
