In this class, student will learn typing with lessons covering common English words, punctuation, sentences, paragraph's. Students will take basic finger alphabet touches and turn them into words and sentences.

Class Experience
In this class student will be learning to form words, sentences, paragraphs, punctuation, capitalization, speed drills and games.
I have been teaching online for about 15 years, and I have a Masters Degree in Teaching and Learning with Technology that I completed in an online program. I am also a Homeschool mom for 20+ years. I have taught multiple students to read, write, type, and various other subjects over the years. I enjoy finding that right method to help students learn best that is unique to them. :)
Student will be given weekly assignments to practice their typing. Some of which will include games. Students are required to practice a minimum of 15min a day to keep up their skills in typing and to keep improving as they move through the assignments.
2 files available upon enrollmentStudents need to be sure have beginner level typing skills or the the beginner class completed. A minimum of 5 WPM and 90% accuracy is required to be in the intermediate level typing class. Student will need a computer with a working keyboard and mouse. Students will also need a second device (phone, computer, tablet) to login to the outschool classroom at the same time as they are logged into typing.com. A printout of the hand placement for each student is available to print if student would like to print it out.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Students will be given letter grades on lessons and assignments completed. Weekly check in during class on their speed and accuracy in each assignment/lesson.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Parents will need to be available to help students with logging into their typing.com account. Parents are encouraged to be sure their students are completing their weekly assignments and also that their students are practicing a minimum of 15 minutes a day to be sure in their success in developing their typing skills.
