Class Experience

In this class I will demonstrate a variety of zentangle patterns and show students how they can use these patterns in a final artwork. We will be looking at the Principles of Art: Pattern and Contrast!
This is a hands on class where students will be creating the project as I demonstrate. No prior knowledge is needed. Students will receive a zentangle pattern handout, zentangle practice worksheet and final drawing worksheet. We will be using these items in class, so please print out prior to the start of class. If students do not have printer access they could complete drawings on blank paper as well.

I have taught high school art for 18 years! Last year I had the opportunity to teach middle school students remotely and loved it! I have taught a variety of courses over my career such as: Fine Arts 1 & 2, Introduction to Photography, Pottery 1 & 2, Introduction to Jewelry, Introduction to Crafts, Introduction to Sculpture, Design 1 & 2.

I believe creating art is a process. It takes making a mess, mistakes and trying again! Creating art is a method of communication with the world!

When I'm not creating art, I love cooking, reading, spending time with friends & family!
