Is your learner familiar with the alef-bet and ready for more? In this ongoing class, learners will become familiar with Hebrew script, aka cursive. While some of the letters look similar, others are quite different from block printing! Each week we will explore a few different letters, and then learn some related vocabulary. We will also incorporate nekudot (vowels). This class is meant as a casual introduction to Hebrew script. As such, there is no formal textbook. Learners may write on-screen, or on paper/whiteboard, whichever they prefer. As it is an ongoing class, each class will stand alone in material. Once we finish the alef-bet, we will cycle back to the beginning. Learners may remain in the class for as long as they wish. It would be good for learners to already have familiarity with block print, but we will review that in this class as well. Week of September 4 - alef, bet/vet Week of September 11 - gimmel, dalet Week of September 18 - hay, vov, zayin Week of September 25 - chet, tet Week of October 2 - yud, kaf, chaf Week of October 9 - lamed, mem Week of October 16 - nun, samech Week of October 23 - ayin, pay/fay Week of October 30 - tsadi, kuf Week of November 6 - reish, shin/sin Week of November 13 - tav
