US Grade 6 - 8
We will start with an ice-breaker activity, then move on to the lesson. Students will learn about a five-part fiction writing technique that breaks down how to structure scenes within a story. Understanding this writing technique will help students structure their own short stories in an engaging way. Students will work together during the class to write their own scene using this technique. The class will be fun and collaborative. I am a natural encourager and like to create a space wherein students can feel comfortable and empowered. Students will be encouraged to participate and answer questions, and the class will be supplemented with slides. No experience is necessary, only a desire to learn and use their imaginations!
