Required Materials for Class:
1. Chain Nose Pliers (thin nose, flat jaws)
2. Round Nose Pliers (thin nose, round jaws)
3. Wire Cutters*
4. Charms (any kind!)
5. Beads (just a handful, medium sized; try pearls, small crystals, and other eye-catching beads!)
6. Unfinished chain with large links (links should be at least 4mm in size; must be big enough to fit more wire through the empty space)
7. Jump rings (open, recommend 6mm diameter or a variety pack)
8. Head pins or eye pins; recommend 2" in length
9. Clasp (recommend toggle or lobster, but any type of clasp works great!)
10. Ruler (12" or 30cm) OR soft measuring tape

Helpful but not required:
11. A single piece of felt or other fabric to use as a beading mat when working to prevent your beads from rolling away.
12. Artistic jewelry wire in 20g, 22g, or 24g

• 20 gauge and 24 gauge wire: ~$8/spool  (Note: "g", or "gauge", refers to the thickness of the wire; the higher the number, the thinner the wire.)
• Materials are available at your local craft store such as Michaels or JoAnn Fabrics. Check your stores for coupons, such as saving a fixed percentage off your entire order!

Parental assistance may be needed for cutting wire and using jewelry pliers as requested by student.
