Class Experience
In this class, students will learn to weave, and by the end of the 8 weeks, they will have made a wall hanging. Students can use handmade looms or real looms -I will put some example looms in the classroom once students have signed up. 1 file available upon enrollmentWeaving Loom - Can be brought or a handmade weaving loom (thick sturdy cardboard) Warp thread Chunky Yarns Fibres (Fiber) Beater - Wide tooth comb/fork Shed stick - Ruler/length of card/knitting needle Weaving needle - Bodkin/piece of card/large tapestry needle Embroidery scissors/fabric scissors Dowel - For hanging the weave on to make into a wall hanging Sellotape - For threading up handmade looms
Students will need to use scissors and needles -So supervision should be nearby.
