Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 2
Beginner Level
In this class, students will learn about the three articles in the English language (a, an & the), and discover why when, and how to use them correctly to describe nouns. This can be a tricky grammar concept for young learners, but it does not have to be.

I share my slide show on the screen to help keep students engaged, and enhance the learning process. Through pictures, examples, fun activities, discussion, encouragement, and hands-on learning, I will teach the students through an “I do, we do, you do” learning approach where they will gain confidence and ability to complete practice tasks on their own, and master the new concept.

I will introduce the articles to students, show them how they should and should not be used, have them help me identify where each of the articles are used, and allow plenty of fun group and independent practice time to master the skill. Students will engage in discussion, on screen games, activities, and group practice, and spend time working independently on practice pages. We will wrap up with a review.

Students will be inspired, encouraged, and empowered to use this new grammar skill while having fun in class.
