Description
Class Experience
Help students maintain their typing skills while improving their typing speed.
Ms. Rae has been creating original academic curriculum for kids for over a decade. All teachers leading this course are required to have solid training in our writing curriculum in addition to our computer literacy curriculum.
Short practice activities that are timed will be assigned for work outside of class. Homework takes about 10 minutes a day and is generally done 5 days a week.
A laptop or computer with a standard American keyboard (computer keyboard QWERTY Layout English- United States). A computer mouse.** If your device does not have a mouse, please let us know so we can be prepared with tips on how to use the laptop scroll pad to complete the same functions.
Informal assessment of student's typing speed.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Typing.com does not capture student personal identifying information. Online accounts are set up by the instructor and only include the student's name. No personal email address is required. This class also uses Google Docs. Parents do not have to any special accounts for the student. No personal identifying information for the student is required.
