Our kids are on computers all day now, in this camp students will spend 2 weeks learning how to type!
Class experience
This class will cover basic keyboarding skills. The goal is for your learner to be able to touch type and not need to look at the keys. Skill and drill was always the way, we learned our multiplication facts and keyboarding skills by doing the same thing repeatedly. In this class we will do that. We are working hard to make our brain and muscles to always know where to go when we think of the letters and words we want to put on the page. I will keep the class moving and engage students...
Students will work towards being able to type without looking at the keys.
Homework Offered
Suggested homework is to complete the practice assignment by typing for 15 minutes a day.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

Computer with a keyboard, not a touch screen
Students will click on a link in the chat and log into that site, PearDeck, to type while the teacher is instructing. Students will be provided with logins for typing.com that they can practice with outside of class time. This allows me to see their performance and progress. Please be able to assist your child logging into these sites if they are unable. For celebration and review we will use GimKit.
