1 hour per week. Students are encouraged to continue practicing tying their shoes daily after our class to help solidify the skill.Class Experience
This one-time class will cover the basics of shoe tying. Students will be introduced to up to three methods of shoe tying through demonstration, song, rhyme, and repetition. After I demonstrate, we will practice together and find which method fits your child's ability. Shoe tying requires strong fine motor skills and may be difficult for younger learners. An adult should be nearby (off-screen per Outschool policy) ready to help when needed. This skill might be mastered during our 30 minute class or possibly in the days following with practice, but regardless I will do my best to help each learner feel successful through my calm and encouraging teaching style. It will be very helpful for the student to continue practicing daily after our class to solidify the skill. A recording of our class will be available for families to view afterwards to remind students of the steps.
