Description

Class Experience

Students will learn to speak simple words/phrases in Spanish through repetition.  Students will be able to recite basic greetings, the alphabet, colors and numbers.

Day 1:  Students will learn basic introductions (my name is.., what is your name?, how are you?) greetings, farewells (hello, goodbye), emotions and feelings (happy, sad, excited) through song and video.   

Day 2:  Students will be introduced to the alphabet and a word beginning with that letter.

Day 3:  Students will be introduced to colors and objects.

Day 4:  Students will be introduced to numbers 0-20 and learn how to count by 10's to 100.
Students will be encouraged to share skills learned in class at home with their families. 

Day 1: Greetings and feelings.

Day 2:  Alphabet and objects chart along with an alphabet pronunciation chart.

Day 3:  Colors chart and worksheet.

Day 4:  Numbers chart and activity worksheet.
Worksheets will be provided after each class.
Students will assessed through simple conversations between teacher and classmates.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
