In this on-going class, students will learn the sounds of letters and gradually learn how to blend letters together to read words.
Class Experience
In this ongoing class, students will learn how to decode, sound out, and blend words. This is an important and challenging foundational skill for beginner readers. They will learn how to sound out and blend consonants, vowels, CVC, CVCe, digraphs, word families, and more. We will also work on initial, ending, and middle sounds (which they do test on in school). Scissors Glue Folder (to put paper in)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Scissors will be used to cut (or parents can cut before class).
