Learners will be learning their ABC's, 123's and more in a relaxed style with the help of Dr. Seuss Stories. I will help them build a foundation of beginner reading skills. They will learn letter identification and sound through small exercises at the beginning of class like "what is the first letter of your first name?" This can teach them letter and number ordering (first, second, third, etc.). Learner will be asked about certain letters or numbers throughout the book asking to hold up fingers to show the number asked or to trace a letter in the air. I will also teach basic sign language which would be at the beginning of class before the story. Expressions like "Thank You", "Goodbye", "Hello", and the alphabet are included. Other Nursery Rhymes will be introduced along with other ASL signs and more brilliant Dr. Seuss stories. Each will be some new, short exercises like the ones described above along with a Dr. Seuss story. The stories will be on a 6-8 week rotation.
