Let's get kids excited about learning to read while being silly and having fun in a Silly Monster word family phonics class. In this ongoing class, kids will learn all 22-word family sounds and how to read and write words that include those sounds through games, songs, crafts, and giggles. 

On the first day of class, we will make a silly monster out of a recyclable that the kids will feed throughout the following days of class. If you are joining after the first day of class, you can prepare your monster before your first class.

We will begin each class by introducing a new word family sound with a knock on a "door", zipline fun, or another fun and catchy way followed by games like sounds around the world, the cup game, I spy, bingo, etc.

Once we have learned the sound we will read a few words that include that sound as well as learn to write a couple of words by ghostwriting, food/paint on a plate, and tracing.

Kids will also be encouraged to practice what they learned in class throughout the week with their silly monster.
