US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 1
Beginner Level
Students will learn how to differentiate between short vowels and long vowel words. We will then decode CVC words: kit, dog, man, run, bed, tap. Once students have an understanding, we will build upon this by adding the bossy e for Vce words: mane, dame, kite, tape. This will be an open discussion, interactive and engaging class. I will use whiteboards, slides, and games to help students understand these concepts.

Supply List
Students will benefit from having note cards, or contruction paper that can be folded to make cards for practice outside of class. Students who have a whiteboard can write the letters and words will be learning for a more interactice experience.
