Learn to Read Part II: Small Group Kindergarten Phonics, Spelling, Handwriting with a Licensed Teacher Reading Summer Camp (Join Anytime!)
In this on-going course (June-August), students will learn and advance their skills in phonics; including letter sounds, blends, digraphs, vowels, consonants, and graphemes. Also, we will master handwriting skills, writing short sentences, and reading leveled stories in a fun and confident way!

Students will learn in a live group setting to improve their understanding and use of Kindergarten phonics and 1st grade reading skills. Lessons may include: beginning sounds, consonant vowel consonant (cvc) words, blends, digraphs, word creation, handwriting skills, reading short stories/predictable readers and more! All content will be required Kindergarten and 1st grade curriculum and skills. This may also be helpful for older students finishing up the Kindergarten year or going into 1st grade. Upcoming schedule (may be subject to change): Week of June 7: Read two Level G books, Blend sounds, Learn handwriting skills, short sentences Week of June 14: Review A-Z Letter Sounds, Read two Level H books, Sight Words, Blends, short sentences Week of June 21: Read two Level I books, Blend sounds, Learn handwriting skills, short sentences Week of June 28: Review A-Z Letter Sounds, Read two Level J books, Sight Words, Blends, short sentences ....and more... A whiteboard will be helpful for your student to practice writing new sounds, words, and mastering handwriting skills. You will get copies of weekly stories to practice at home, if you would like!
