Beginner Level
Learners will develop French reading skills and practice their spelling and writing. The aim is to increase confidence in French and improve the French accent. Students will build up a bank of vocabulary and have the opportunity to practice using sentences and questions. Each lesson we will learn a different French letter combination sound, an opportunity to learn the French alphabet, practice reading in French, improve pronunciation and French accent, increase confidence overall in using French, practice spelling and writing skills The class consists of a short and engaging video presentation to introduce the sound of the week. Learning goals: •recognize and pronounce new French words while building vocabulary knowledge • improve French accent when speaking • increased confidence when speaking • improved reading skills Mastering French sounds is a vital step towards developing fluency, this class is suitable for beginners and those who are still in the first year of learning French.

Camilla is a licensed and certified teacher with six years of experience teaching French in person and five years experience teaching online. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in French Teaching from the University of Utah. She also lived in three French-speaking countries for a year and a half (France, Switzerland, Luxembourg). As a teacher, Camilla is patient, encouraging, and upbeat. She makes class enjoyable and stress-free while still creating a challenging learning environment. She enjoys using music, movement, and visuals to help learners focus and engage. Camilla loves the French language and loves sharing her passion with others.
