In this one time small group class, students will practice reading short vowel (CVC) words in isolation and sentences to help build their fluency. Fluency is the ability to read words with automaticity, accuracy, and expression. Readers who don't read fluently often can have reading comprehension difficulties. This class is great for Kindergarten or 1st grade students. 

Note: Students should have some exposure to reading short vowel words (ex: cat, frog, box, slip, etc) and sight words (the, was, on, she, he, etc). They should have some exposure reading sentences like "I can nap on the bed." Feel free to message me to see if this class is the right fit for your child. 

Sample Class Format:
1. Letter Sound Warm up
2: Blending and Segmenting CVC words (ex: d-o-g ->dog)
3. Read a short decodable passage or book.
