Hello! This class consists of 6 weeks of learning with 4 lessons per week (24 lessons total). We will be learning how to read and write words with consonant digraphs! My teaching style is focused on a multi-sensory approach. Students are encouraged to participate with discussion and be engaged with the lesson the entire time. I will be teaching using PowerPoint with myself in video. Students are welcome to pause the PowerPoint if needed at any time. I am a licensed teacher with 16 years of experience teaching students in K-8 in General Education and Special Education classes. I have a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and am certified in the LETRS Science of Reading program. I love teaching young learners how to read!
Learning Goals
Students will learn and become fluent in reading and writing words with all the consonant digraphs in the English language in isolation and within text.
