I designed this class so that your child can start learning to read by recognizing letter patterns within word family words and by blending letter sounds together to read and write CVC and CCVC words. Students will gain experience in sounding out words, blending, reading and writing. We will have a new set of word family words every week. Students will practice these new words together by completing a few different activities. We will read a short story that includes all of our new words too!...

Students will learn to blend letter sounds together to read CVC and CCVC words or improve their current skills in reading these words.
I hold a BA in administraion as well as an ESL certification. I also have completed more than 120 professional development hours in the Sciences of Reading. I have been teaching young learners to read for more than 18 years.
