In this reading class, we will work on learning how to read and write short vowel words. This is perfect for a kindergartener or beginning reader. We will play interactive phonics games and activities while sounding out & segmenting words.

If you have a kindergarten student who is learning how to read words with short vowels, this class is perfect to continue to encourage reading skills! This is a beginner reading class focusing on easy to read words through segmenting, rhyming and sounding out words. One of the best ways to help learners learn to read is to decode simple CVC words! Learning how to read and decode these short, simple words will help learners feel confident and ready to take on more challenging phonics and reading skills! A good foundation in reading is the best way to set up your child for success! This phonics reading class is for young learners who know their letters and sounds and are beginning to blend and segment sounds in a word. Learners will practice reading, writing and spelling CVC words through games, interactive activities and a craft every few weeks!
In this class we will be working on reading and spelling short 'a, e, i, o, u' words such as: pot, cat, sit etc. We will do some phonics games, view some interactive phonics slides, sing songs, and practice reading and writing short vowel words. 

This class is hands-on and interactive with movement activities built in throughout to keep students engaged and attentive! 

This class is ongoing, working on short vowel word patterns. This class meets one time per week and you can come and go as needed!
