What will be taught?
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Each week, we will learn to read and write kanji using the handout that will be sent to you.
Students will learn new kanji and words each week with reading and writing practice with sensei.
Sensei will pronounce the kanji in Japanese as well as in Mandarin so we can compare how kanji are read differently.
The comparison of hearing Mandarin pronunciation of kanji will help students understand why Japanese kanji has so many different ways of reading.

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::
How is your class structured?
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Each week, students will learn new materials while we are meeting live!
Students are encouraged to post their writing practices on the class bulletin.

Although all of the class materials are presented on screen, I do encourage students to take notes and practice writing them with the writing practice that will be posted on the class bulletin. It takes many times of reading and writing before you start to recognize them in sentences.

Writing practice will be posted prior to each meeting, so please write your practice while in class as well.

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::
How will you teach?
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::
We will communicate on Outschool platform.

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::
How much will learners get to interact with you and each other (mention specifics like: lecture, games, slides, video clips, discussion)?
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Learning a foreign language is all about interaction!! Once a student starts a class, he/she is expected to share writing samples on the Outschool bulletin weekly and share experiences of writing new hiragana. This could be done in each student's style and this could be one of the fun things to do for the class, because students can showcase their writings in various forms such as in pen and pencil, ink, or painting.

If time permits after everyone's done taking notes and practicing kanji, we'll play a game in style of Among Us.
Students will answer as many questions as possible and survive the game!
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Any required experience or knowledge learners need?
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::
None for this course.
