Learn to Read 3 | Digraphs & Blended Sounds Reading & Phonics Class | Ongoing

📚In this beginning reading class students will learn 2 to 3 new digraphs or blends each week. Each class will start with a short story or poem that highlights the diagraph/blend of the day. We will then practice reading these words through interactive games and activities. This is a great class for young learners showing interest in reading and are already reading some word family words (CVC-consonant vowel consonant) independently. Your learner will have many opportunities to participate and play games throughout class if they feel comfortable to do so.

📝A worksheet will be provided upon enrollment but is not required. Students can still participate with paper and pencil/crayon/markers 

📅This class will be on a rolling subscription. Feel free to enroll your learner at any time during any week! The lessons do not build on each other and we will focus solely on the material for the given week.

🖍️I teach using slides/screen sharing so that students have a visuals to enhance learning! Each student will be given opportunities to answer questions and participate in class. This class was designed and created using preschool standards that correlate with the national Common Core Standards for kindergarten readiness. 

🖍️I will mute students when needed to minimize background noise or during direct instruction so that all learners are able to hear. Please make sure your learner either knows how to mute/unmute or I ask that you sit with them during class so they are able to share when it's their turn. As a teacher, I am not able to unmute learners on my end as this is not a function in zoom I can control. 

🖍️I will gently go over classroom rules at the beginning of the lesson and ask students to raise their hand for questions or if they would like to share something. I will make sure that all students get several opportunities to be heard and to share during the class. Please make sure your student knows how to unmute or that you are available to assist. 

🖍️Every learner on camera must be signed up for the class. Friends, siblings, etc. must be enrolled in the class to be on camera. All adults assisting students must remain OFF camera as well. This is an Outschool policy and will be enforced.
