This 25-minute class takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week. It is designed to systematically teach young learners how to put their letter sounds together to read words and stories! Each class we review phonics play games with sight words, and practice reading out loud. Each student gets a chance to read independently. I teach through games, so class is high energy and full of movement and fun. I make sure students have lots of success in class so they have the confidence to keep reading outside of class. Student Prior Knowledge Students able to identify most letter names and sounds are a good fit for this class. This is great for advanced preschoolers, new kindergarteners, or any emergent reader that needs to gain confidence. Not sure you're ready? Learning Goals

Supply List
We practice spelling in class from time to time. Please have something to write with close by. This could be, but is not limited to, paper and pencil or whiteboard and marker.
