In this class, we will explore the most common types of piano chords: major, minor, diminished, and more. In each class, the learner will be given a new set of chords to learn. Identify the fundamental elements of each of the major, minor, diminished, and augmented piano chords, including the specific notes that are used to construct each chord, their structure, and the sounds they produce. Apply the knowledge gained about the different types of chords to play and create simple chord progressions for a variety of songs in different genres such as classical, jazz, blues, and pop. Evaluate the differences in the mood and tone created by different chord types.
