30 mins in-class hours per weekHomework
1-2 hours per week. Students will be expected to practice a minimum of ten minutes per day every day outside of weekly lessons.Assessment
My goal is that each student fall in love with music and playing the harp. I can do assessments if students are homeschooled and need music credit. I also can give grade assessments for high school students applying to music fields at university.Grading
includedClass Experience
Each week, students will learn to read music, how to find and properly play that music on their harp and how to play rhythm. There is no need to know how to read music before signing up for lessons. If you CAN read music, that's great too! All levels of music knowledge are welcome. I customize each lesson for the student and their abilities. For children, I also include music games to help make the lesson more enjoyable. Each lesson is 30 minutes. We will cover what the student has practiced and then move on to new material.
Learning Goals
Learning to play the harp improves every individual's self expression, critical thinking as well as hand eye coordination.
For students just starting out, here is a basic layout of topics covered each week.
December 29, 2021. Week 1: Learning your strings and how to tune the harp
January 5, 2022. Week 2: Reading the first 5 notes and play your first song using the treble clef and your right hand.
January 12, 2022. Week 3: Introduction to the bass clef. Reading the bass clef and how to play it on the harp. Play a song with your left hand.
January 19, 2022. Week 4: Learning to read treble clef and bass clef together. Play a song with both hands.

Supply List
Students will require a harp of some kind to practice with between lessons. Anyone wanting the music I've been sending all in one place, I've made it into an ebook. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B4KSBTYW No obligation. I can still send photos of the music each week. But if you want an ebook to make it easier, there it is.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Sources
Students will be required to purchase a book once I assess their musical knowledge level. Beginners can get the music I have written as an ebook here https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B4KSBTYW
