Class Experience
Students will learn the basic rules and strategies of Pai Sho, the once-fictional board fame featured in Avatar: the Last Airbender. Pai Sho is a game of harmony and strategy, depicted in various episodes of Avatar and developed by fans into a full-fledged game. We will playing the popular variant "Ginseng Pai Sho." I will be screen-sharing a web version of the game, with students following along. Students will not not need to access the Skud Pai Sho website during class, but will receive...
Students will learn the basic rules and strategy of Ginseng Pai Sho:
I am an ardent player of Pai Sho, deeply involved in the Pai Sho community. I have designed my own variants of the game, and am a world champion of Ginseng Pai Sho.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The game will demonstrated through a screenshare from my computer. Students need not have an account and will not need to access it during class, so no preparation is required.
