Students will participate in group discussion about golf scenarios.Class Experience
In this 8-week class, students begin a lifetime journey into the exciting and healthful game of golf. Your learner will find out how to select just the right club for the job to send the ball sailing down the fairway, onto the green, and into the cup. Students will learn about putting, chipping, hitting from the fairway and rough, and hitting off the tee. Throughout the class, students will head outdoors - sometimes to a back yard or neighborhood park, other times to the driving range - to practice their skills, and at the end of class, (preferably) to a golf course, or to the driving range, to try out all they've learned! The class will watch videos of golf legends, professional golf instructors, and the teacher, demonstrating skills. Students will discuss their own experiences and questions with the teacher and classmates. All students will upload videos/pictures to demonstrate their work, receive feedback from the teacher and classmates, and give appropriate, constructive feedback to others. Each week, your learner will receive more tips for success to help to build a stronger golf game. No background experience is required to be successful in this course! Just grab a set of clubs and start practicing! At the conclusion of this class, students will have the basic knowledge to participate in a game of golf. They will be able to select the right club for a number of common situations, hit a ball down the fairway (at least sometimes!), sink a putt, and enjoy a beautiful day on the course.
