Learn to Play Dungeons & Dragons Online With Your Friends

This 1-session course is designed to offer learners the information and tools required to set up and play a game or campaign of the popular tabletop roleplaying game Dungeons & Dragons online with their friends, but will also cover some other games as well. While this course is not about playing the game itself, instead the course is designed to help learners take the first step towards gathering with their friends to engage in the social and creative hobby with their friends with confidence. 

The course will cover the basic tools, all of which are free and family-friendly, as well as some tips and tricks to help them start working with those tools on their own. We will cover the basics of coordinating meeting times, using the Virtual Tabletop (VTT) system, as well as setting up private voice-chat for their gaming group. The class will also cover using VTT tools to create basic maps and tokens, using Notes to plan and create, and how to look up and reference game rules during play.

Designed as an introduction to segue into courses  focused on more advanced VTT tool usage, creative writing, and Dungeon Mastering workshops. 

Learners need no experience or knowledge beforehand, only connection to an Internet browser and an interest in engaging in this fun and creative hobby.
