This class is for the younger kids. Students love to draw. Drawing is good for so many different areas. Drawing even is a prerequisite for learning to write. (eye-hand coordination, self-confidence, problem solving, creativity, observation, cognitive development, remembering visual things, attention span, expression) In this step by step drawing class, students will learn to cognitively echo what the teacher draws. Student pick up on drawing tips throughout the class. ( shading, overlapping,...

-drawing paper -good eraser that does not smear - sharp pencil( like like mechanical) because it helps the students to learn to draw light, until you get it right. (makes for easier and cleaner erasing)
I like to look and assess throughout the class. I usually give suggestions if needed. I also like to leave feedback for parents, telling them of any strengths that I pick up on, in the class, and offer suggestions of things to continue to practice, if needed.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
