Beginner Level
In this short class, students will learn how to make a video using Canva. These videos will include visual and audio editing for a short video on the topic of the student's choosing. Topic Schedule: Class 1 - Introduction to Canva, Creating a Design, Pick a Topic, Storyboard Your Video, Basics of Canva Editor Class 2 - Add Visual Elements, Add Your Style, Add Audio, Edit, Peer Review, Completion of Project Class Structure: In this class, students will navigate the design process together with me in a workshop format. I'll guide students while also giving students the space to express their creativity. Students can choose to work in groups or independently, and I'll be on hand to help brainstorm and assist in bringing their ideas to life. Prior Knowledge: Students do not need any prior knowledge or editing experience.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to use the Canva editor to effectively add video and audio elements to a project.Students will be able to storyboard a short video in a way that communicates their ideas clearly to others.
