Learn to Make a Paper Star Decoration for the Holidays (8-10 Yo)
Class experience
In this class, we will learn how to make a paper decoration you can hang in your own house. These are a lot of fun to make and can be hung in your bedroom or even used for birthdays or holidays! (I usually make these out of wrapping paper, because it makes them shiny and colorful, but any kind of paper should work.) ___________________________________ Class structure: In this class, we will learn how to make a decorative star out of construction paper that can be used in your own home, as...
Students will improve their fine motor skills by cutting, gluing, taping, and/or stapling paper in intricate-looking patterns. They will also have a chance to improve their social skills by interacting with other students as they create a cute decoration together.
I make these around the holidays every year and use them to decorate my home, as well as giving them to friends and family as gifts.
1 file available upon enrollment• Construction paper (You will need at least 3 sheets in your chosen colors.) • A pair of scissors • A stapler (Tape works, but staples work better and the tape can be very fiddly to work with for this project.) • [Optional] Tape
Students will be using scissors, glue, tape, and/or staples. Younger students and students with difficulties that could make these a danger to them should have an adult closeby for assistance. (Please remember that Outschool policy does not allow parents to be on camera during class.)
