Description

Class Experience

Students will learn to code a Flappy Bird-style game using Scratch. We will dive into some more advanced coding. Students will be able to design their own character and enemy. They will decide the game rules and get to customize with music and more!
I have taught coding in my own middle school Science class for the last few years. I also helped my county run a technology fair and helped to teach coding to at least 300 kids during that time.
A free Scratch account is recommended so students can save and share their projects
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
scratch.mit.edu will be used to code
Screen share will be used so I can help them with their code, they can see my code, and they can share their projects
