Class Experience
In this class, students will practice important reading and writing skills while having fun and being creative! Each week will focus on a different aspect of Language Arts: reading, writing, grammar, or the arts (such as studying poetry or reading plays). Students will learn how to write different kinds of paragraphs as well as stories, poems, and letters. We will also review parts of speech, learn about correct grammar, and have discussions about the plays and stories we read in class. Each...
Students will practice important reading and writing skills while enjoying interactive activities. They will learn to write different kinds of paragraphs, letters, and stories, study correct grammar, read and discuss articles and stories, read plays, and write poetry.
No homework is assigned. All writing will happen during class time.
Students will need a way to write. They are welcome to bring a notebook and pencil or type in the chat - whatever they or their parents are most comfortable with. If they write in a notebook, they may want to to have a separate notebook for this class to keep all of their writing projects together. For some activities we will use the chat and annotate features on Zoom, so it is helpful if students already know how to access these functions.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 10 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
