ABOUT ME: I'm a classically trained violinist and vocalist. I grew up in the orchestra and sang in various competitions, choirs, duets and solo from age 10. I also taught violin lessons both practical and theory while in college. Currently I am a back up signer for various recording artists and I particularly like laying down harmonies on tracks and hearing the transformation of the song. PERFORMANCE: The Holidays are coming up, won't it be nice to know a few songs you can sing at a family function or recital? CLASS: This voice class offers a unique and innovative approach to modern music training. Shying away from the conventional, solely academic methods of teaching, our students learn to play "from the heart". Instead of learning standard beginner songs like "Mary had a little lamb", this class often opt to teach by using the songs that the student is most interested in. They cover all genres of music including rock, pop, metal, alternative rock, acoustic singer/songwriter, blues and country. By using this hands-on approach, students remain motivated in their lessons and are much more likely to stick with their instruments for life. After warm ups, we will learn to add vocal harmonies to a song. Learners will have first preference, so they can come to class with a song in mind that they would like to learn. Voice Lessons: 🎤Parts of the Voice/Anatomy 🎤Breath Control 🎤Harmonies and Singing in Rounds 🎤Solfege and Reading Music 🎤Ear Training - Tonal Memory 🎤Songs in Varying Styles 9/14/2021 Week 1: Parts of the Voice/Anatomy, Warm up ,Scale, Breath Control, Singing in rounds, practicing song #1 9/21/2021 Week 2: Parts of the Voice/Anatomy, Warm up ,Scale, Breath Control, Singing in rounds, practicing song #2 9/28/2021 Week 3: Parts of the Voice/Anatomy, Warm up, Scale, Breath Control, Signing in rounds, practicing song # 3 10/05/2021 Week 4: Parts of the Voice/Anatomy, Warm up, Scale, Singing in rounds, Breath Control, practicing song # 4 After the fourth week, the classes would restart at week 1.
