Class Experience
Students will learn how to see and break down characters into their fundamental shapes that they can use to reconstruct existing and original characters, including themselves!
I have a bachelor's degree in graphic design and I own a photography business specializing in portraits and events. I am also an avid fine artist focusing on character design and illustration and have by practicing for over 30 years. I have taught learners in a variety of artistic programs ranging in ages of 6 - 10 years.
No homework is required prior to the class, but learners are encouraged to practice what they learn on their own to become proficient. Practice makes perfect!
1 file available upon enrollmentRequired Materials: Paper - Several pieces of 8 ½ x 11 (or A4 size) Pencil Eraser Pen or marker for tracing Color medium like crayons, markers or colored pencils Optional Materials: If your learner would like to practice with their drawing specific materials consider: - Sketchbook with several blank pages Drawing pencil(s) (something like a HB or 2B) Kneaded eraser or plastic eraser
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
