Class Experience

If you're like me, you live and breathe Pokémon! My kids and I love searching for new cards to add to our collection, and we love watching the animated series (all variations of it!).

My love for drawing Pokémon came when my daughter (who loves to draw) started asking me how to draw the different characters. Slowly, we have learned to draw many of them, and can't wait to share what we've learned.

Join me each week as we draw a new character. Each class, we will discuss each new character... We will also discuss what kind of attack or skill we would like to have if we were that "type" of Pokémon. Then we will jump right into drawing! We will end each class with coloring our drawing. This class will be interactive, as we will talk with each other about our favorite things about Pokémon and sharing our masterpieces.

Come join me as we "catch 'em all!"

Characters will be taught in the following order, with more characters being added as we go:

If your learner is under/over the age range for this class, I am still happy to teach them in this class. However, if your learner finds the class is too fast paced, you can always refer to your learner's transcript to watch the class playback and pause and play at your learner's own speed!

** CLASS INFORMATION **

GOAL OF THIS CLASS:
The goal of this class is to draw a Pokemon character (listed above) step-by-step.

HOW WILL WE REACH THIS GOAL?:
I will draw each character with the students, giving them easy, step-by-step directions.

WHAT PRIOR KNOWLEDGE IS REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS CLASS?:
- How to hold and use a pencil
- How to follow simple directions in English

TEACHING STYLE:
As a teacher for the last 13 years, with many more years of experience with children on top of that, I will use my fun personality to engage learners, interacting with them each step of the way.

CLASS POLICIES:
- All late learners will be admitted, however, I am unable to go back and teach them the steps of the drawing they missed. For most classes, the drawing begins within the first five minutes of class time in order to finish within the allotted time.
- Students work at different paces. I try my best to allow students time to catch up, but I also need to keep the class moving so the other students do not lose interest in the class
- I do not require students in this class to be on mute, however if background noise drowns out the sound of the instructions, I will place the child on mute.
- Class recordings available upon request. To protect the privacy of all users, all learners in the classroom must be verified before the recording is shared - including those who did not attend. For this reason, I am unable to share every recording.
- All OS policies will be followed. Please make sure to be familiar with all policies prior to class.
- Please note that this class is ONGOING and will be charged to parents each Sunday. Before signing up, please ensure you read about how ONGOING classes are charged by OutSchool.
