Learn to Draw Manga Poses for the Intermediate to Advanced Artist

In this Manga Drawing Class we will focus on movement of the body, poses, and creating scenes. Students should have a solid ability in drawing Manga style bodies already. If not, my Manga Character class is a great place to begin!

This is a live class so I can oversee progress and learners have the ability to ask questions about their progress as we move along through the steps. Each class will be led by demonstration by me, then learners will practice during class time the technique that is demonstrated. 

There will be light homework assigned such as searching for MANGA images on the internet they can replicate. They will be asked to print off a picture and draw that picture using the techniques we have acquired. This is not a tracing class and I will mention up front tracing is completely frowned upon.  (Just don't do it and I'll be a happy little teacher and you will be a happy learner!) 

This is a fun moderately paced class, at times you might not finish your drawing technique before class ends, in which case, I would expect you to complete it on your own before next class meets. (See there really isn't a ton of homework so I know you can do it!)

At the end of this art course, you will have learned approximate 10-12 different Manga poses to add to your creative collection.

Week 1: Sitting poses (chair, swing, steps)

Week 2: Seasons poses (Brrr...winter/chilly pose, sunbathing, raking leaves,  spring/skipping)

Week 3: Traditional poses (Walking, crouching, thinking, leaning)

Week 4: Fighting poses (variety)
