What's included
1 live meeting
40 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this fun and engaging class, I will teach a child how to draw characters and animals in a simple and easy to follow step-by-step method in the style of my picture books. I will also encourage your child to practice my style and embrace their own talents and styles. I will show them how to draw a single character in different positions and perspectives. We will draw characters from my books as well as other animals and new characters! As we draw, I will discuss how different illustration styles create different moods and why we might use different styles for different types of books and projects.
Learning Goals
The goal of this class is to encourage students to learn how to draw simple characters with easy to follow steps and build their confidence to be able to draw. Students will learn that by practicing their drawing skills they will improve and begin to develop their own style of drawing and hopefully learn a new skill that becomes a fun, lifetime hobby!

Supply List
Students only need to bring a pencil, eraser, and drawing paper. It does not need to be fancy or expensive - but I will talk about different kinds of art supplies you can use as you develop your drawing talent. I will provide a step-by-step pdf at the end of each class for students to have to keep practicing drawing the character they learned that day!
