1 in-class hoursClass Experience
In this class, I'll be guiding learners step by step on how to draw a dragon from the Wings of Fire book series. I will be sharing my screen as we draw together, so students can see my work every step of the way as I lead them through the drawing theory and process. We will be building the character from simple shapes, working up to the more detailed and tricky parts together. I will frequently pause to give students time to view my work as a reference, and get theirs looking exactly how they want it! This class is certainly open to beginner artists! I do not give homework, but will be providing reference from which we will draw together. Learners do not need to draw from off the top of their heads! I have a very easy-going teaching style, often leaving time for discussion and giving kids space to make friends within the class! Learner's drawings also do not need to look exactly like mine, there will be plenty of space for creativity!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Master's Degree in Science from University of Dundee
Hiya! I'm Stacy! I love all things art and animation! I'm a huge cartoon and anime fan, and love to share my passion with my students!
I have been teaching drawing, digital painting, and animation online since 2020, and have had over 50 long-term private students! I have also been a freelance artist and animator since graduating with my Master's in Medical Art in 2019.
One of my most important values in teaching is to build students' confidence in themselves. Especially in art, people can be so hard on themselves! I will always encourage my students to do their best, and allow themselves some grace when trying something new for the first time. Self-confidence and self-love is important! That's why I take extra special care to pay attention to the way we talk to ourselves in class. We encourage each other and take pride in the things we succeed in! But, we also forgive ourselves and persevere in the things it takes us more than one try to master.
