In this class, students will learn how to create a drawing of a red fox in an easy step by step process, followed by a demonstration of how to add layered coloring to the animal's fur. This class is suited for learners who feel comfortable drawing, as well as those who are intermediate level and want to build upon their skills. After greetings and introductions, I will share a few facts and pictures about the red fox. Then I will switch to my second camera, where students can follow along...
Students will learn how to draw a red fox using a step by step process where we build upon foundational shapes with details, texture, and color to create a realistic looking image. Students will also learn some fascinating facts about the red fox's life cycle, behavior, and habitat.
Paper, Pencil, Sharpener, eraser, colored pencils (including animal/nature colors like browns, greens, and reds/oranges).
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I will check in with students throughout the drawing process and offer feedback and guidance as needed.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will refer to photos of the animal as well as information from a wildlife website.
