In this short course students will learn how to draw an anime girl style human body with the correct proportions and add different styles of clothing - with step by step instructions. In the first lesson we will go over tips and tricks to map out the body so that we get all the proportions correct for our anime girl. Then we will go over a simple but effective way to draw in her body. I will show different poses for her and we will draw a variety of different bodies. Students may start with a head they already have drawn, or they can draw a new anime head along with me. In the second lesson we will add clothing to our anime bodies and I will go through a different selection of clothes that we can draw and student are encouraged to customise them as they wish. We will then colour in our anime girls using any medium we like - crayons, pencils, pens or paints! My teaching style is very enthusiastic and I like to encourage my students by praising what they are doing well and sensitively pointing out where they could improve. The best way to learn is through doing and so my lesson will be very interactive and engaging. The students will need some plain paper, a pencil, an eraser, sharpener and coloured pens or pencils, including the colour black. No required experience or knowledge is needed for this class. Just a joy and curious attitude about art and how to draw!

Hello! My name is Harriet Horner and I am from London in the UK. I teach creative classes, including interesting and dynamic art classes, along with art history classes. They including a lot of making and creating from the students side and most importantly they are very fun!
I have a bachelors degree in Fine Art from University of the Arts London and have worked with the acclaimed artist Anish Kapoor for over 3 years. I also have my own art studio and have exhibited my art work around London and in the Venice Biennale! As well as my colourful art background I have also obtained a TEFL and have been teaching English online to foreign students from the ages of 5 - 12. I love it! But I cant wait to combine my love of art with my love of teaching and believe that my enthusiasm and knowledge in the subject will bring a great learning experience to my students.
